Barcelona have all but confirmed the signing of Ferran Torres from Manchester City, as the Spaniard’s jersey has been made available for sale on the club’s official store.
The Catalans agreed a €55 million deal with Manchester City to secure the signing of the 21-year-old last week. The Spaniard has already arrived in Catalonia to undergo his medical, with an official announcement expected shortly.
Torres will be presented as an official Barcelona player tomorrow, on Tuesday. But, before an announcement has been made, the Blaugrana have unofficially confirmed the transfer, as the club have made available his name for printing on jerseys on the club’s store.
As can be seen below, fans can opt for a print of the name ‘Ferran’ on their jerseys, although his shirt number has not been mentioned.
It has been speculated that the soon-to-be Barcelona star will be taking up the #25 jersey, although he will also have the #19 shirt available for him after Sergio Aguero announced his retirement.
Torres has been out of action since October earlier this year due to a fractured foot. However, he is expected to have fully recovered from the injury. And, it has been claimed that the Spanish international could be in line to make his debut for Barça on January 5th, in the Copa del Rey clash against Linares.
