Barcelona's new-look Nike kit for next season's campaign.

Although the club's 2021/22 season is still in progress, Barcelona's new home kit for the 2022/23 campaign has been leaked online, leaving many fans wondering if Nike has announced a release date.

The jersey makes reference to some of the best retro football kits from the past by adopting a much darker shade of blue, similar to the tones used by some of the Catalan club's most iconic home shirts through the years.

The reveal of Barcelona's new home kit also completes the El Clásico set after Real Madrid's jersey for next season also leaked online.

If you're a Barcelona fan though, you'll be pleased to know that we're focusing solely on the Blaugrana side of Spain in this article. So, that being said, let's dive in...

Nike is yet to announce an official release date for Barcelona's new home strip; however, the kit is rumoured to launch in the coming weeks according to reports.

However, the club's 2021/22 home shirt didn't see a full release until 21 June 2021, and was only launched a week prior to Nike Members only.

As a result, we don't expect to see the 2022/23 kit released any time soon, especially with the 2021/22 season still ongoing.

This is purely speculation on our behalf though, so make sure you check back in as we'll be keeping this article updated with all the latest news as and when it arrives.

Very few images have been leaked so far of the shirt; however, the pictures we do have, first spotted by Footy Headlines, clearly show the Blaugrana stripes have been combined with a darker blue tone as previously predicted.

The obsidian blue dresses the shoulders, collar, and two vertical stripes down the centre of the shirt between the golden badge and Nike branding.

You then get the usual red stripes mixed with a lighter blue shade across the remaining vertical panels.

As the leaked images are just close-ups, several mock-ups of the shirt have been made to showcase the design in more detail.

Based on the renders, it would seem as though the blue and the red striped pattern will be mirrored across the back of the kit.

It's also worth noting that the pictures don't show a kit sponsor. This is because the club's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, and no successor has been announced thus far.

Although likely to be accurate, we'd recommend taking these mock-ups with a pinch of salt at this stage, as they may not be 100% the same as the final design.

Keep an eye out for more images of the kit right here for official confirmation.

We believe one of the first places the club's 2022/23 home kit will be released is at the official Barcelona store.

We'd also recommend checking out the Barcelona section of the Nike website as an alternative place to pick up your shirt come release day.
