Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White continues to make decisions with the Vols’ fanbase in mind.

After bringing back the V-O-L-S signs on Neyland Stadium and asking for feedback on the Lindsey-Nelson Stadium design plans, White is once again calling on the Tennessee fanbase’s opinion.

On Friday afternoon, White revealed that his team had been kicking around the idea of switching up the number designs on Tennessee’s field. On one hand, the current “serif” font. On the other hand, Tennessee could switch over to the same number font that is on the Vols’ jerseys.

Both options look slick next to the checkerboard endzone (which should be extended to the white lines, by the way). One represents a more traditional, classic look that has been paired with the field design for years. The other option represents a more modernized look to keep continuity from the jerseys to the field the game is being played on.

White opened up the poll at 3:35 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon. In the first two hours, the poll has already collected over 6,000 votes.

At the time of this publication, the “Jersey Block Numbers” is handily winning, 71.7 percent to 28.3 percent.

As mentioned previously, Danny White has been making significant moves with the fanbase in mind in the last few months. White didn’t just bring back the V-O-L-S letters atop Neyland Stadium but added an additional set on the east side of the southern jumbotron as well. In addition, in June, White revealed and spoke in detail about the forthcoming plans for Tennessee’s baseball stadium. White specifically called for the Tennessee fans on social media to send in their feedback on the plans, which will be adjusted in certain ways due to fan feedback.

What do you think? Stick with the old-school font or switch it up to the new-school version? Vote in White’s Twitter poll and drop a comment in the box below with your choice!

Less than 3 weeks to kickoff!

We’re kicking around the idea to update our field numbers to match the style on our jerseys … but wanted to hear what y’all think! Which number style do you prefer?
