Ducks Announce 'The Ascent' Promotional Countdown to 2022-23 Season | NHL.com

The Anaheim Ducks today announced that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has released a series of exclusive events, releases and activations for fans culminating with the Ducks first game of the 2022-23 season presented by UCI Health. "The Ascent" begins today, 30 days prior to the club's home opener against the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, Oct. 12 (7 p.m).

As part of The Ascent, single-game tickets for the upcoming season will go on sale Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. Additionally, Sept. 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, with the organization excited to celebrate and honor the diverse community in Orange County. On Sunday, Oct. 9, the Ducks will host a bilingual Hispanic Heritage Try Hockey For Free session, presented by Opendoor, at The Rinks - Anaheim ICE where attendees will be provided with a full set of hockey gear in addition to coaching instructions in both Spanish and English. A Girls Try Hockey For Free clinic, also presented by Opendoor, will follow the Hispanic Heritage session later in the day.

The Ascent will also include access to the Ducks 2022 Rookie Camp on Sept. 15 at Great Park Ice in Irvine beginning at 11 a.m. before the club participates in the six-team Rookie Showcase hosted by the San Jose Sharks from Sept. 16-19. Rookie Camp at Great Park Ice will be open to the public free of charge.

On Friday, Sept. 16, fans are invited to take part in the KABOOM! Playground Build Day as Ducks players and staff members will build and reveal a customized Ducks-themed playground to local children in the community. The 4,300-square-foot playground will be the first phase in the transformation of a grassy field located next to Anaheim City Hall into Center Greens, a new downtown park benefiting the health and wellness of kids and families in Orange County. Ducks fans are welcomed to Honda Center on Sunday, Sept. 18 for the #FlyTogether Open House event celebrating Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale 's new jersey numbers, 11 and 6 respectively. Individuals will have the opportunity to meet Zegras and Drysdale from 12-1:30 p.m. after making a purchase at the Ducks Team Store. Additionally, fans who own a Zegras No. 46 or Drysdale No. 34 jersey will receive 46% off a brand-new jersey purchase (limited to one jersey per customer). Other fans interested in purchasing a new Zegras or Drysdale jersey will receive 17% off during the event.

As part of the #FlyTogether Open House event, fans will also have the chance to view the newly released VIP seat inventory for the 2022-23 season at Honda Center beginning at 10 a.m. Fans that purchase new season seats will be eligible for the meet and greet with Zegras and Drysdale. Attendees will also be in the running for prizes, including player-autographed items, as they peruse available seat locations for the upcoming campaign.

The 2022 Anaheim Ducks Training Camp at Great Park Ice will begin Thursday, Sept. 22. As part of the #FlyTogether Fan Camp on Saturday, Sept. 24, fans will have the opportunity to watch the team train at Great Park Ice beginning at 9 a.m. prior to the Ducks "Orange vs. Black" scrimmage at 11 a.m. Admission to the #FlyTogether Fan Camp will be open to the public free of charge.

The Ducks will play their first preseason game at Honda Center Wednesday, Sept. 28 against the Arizona Coyotes (7 p.m.). This preseason game will be preceded by an exclusive screening of the first episode of the Disney+ original series "The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers" season two. Fans attending the game are encouraged to be in their seats by 5:45 p.m. for the screening. The evening will include special appearances by cast members starring in the Disney+ hit series. Orange Alliance Members are invited to view the episode in a reserved VIP area with optimal sightlines that includes a snack in addition to other surprises. The first 750 Orange Alliance Members in attendance will receive a Mighty Ducks: Game Changers branded giveaway t-shirt.

Additionally, Wild Wingers Kids Club kit, presented by UCI Health and CHOC, presales begin on Sept. 28 and will be available for pick-up during the regular season.

Honda Center will play host to two more preseason games as the Ducks face off against the San Jose Sharks Friday, Sept. 30 (7 p.m.) and the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday, Oct. 4 (7 p.m.). Tickets for all 2022 preseason games are on sale at www.AnaheimDucks.com/Tickets .

The Anaheim Ducks Street Team will also be active in the community throughout The Ascent with appearances at exclusive Ducks fan events at various locations, including Brewery X in Anaheim on Thursday, Sept. 29 (5-7 p.m.).

The Ascent will culminate at Honda Center on Oct. 12 with the Anaheim Ducks 2022-23 regular season home opener against the Seattle Kraken (7 p.m.) Fans are invited to welcome back Ducks players during the fan-favorite Orange Carpet event prior to the game. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to participate in Orange Carpet festivities and watch the in-arena opening night sequence and on-ice player introductions. Fans in attendance will also receive a 2022-23 season schedule giveaway presented by Bally Sports. The Ducks will continue the tradition of introducing this season's "21st Duck," an honor given to a deserving fan who exhibits great perseverance, character, courage and inspiration. The "21st Duck" will be welcomed at Honda Center on the ice with the players as part of the Opening Night roster.
