Barcelona fans are still celebrating Robert Lewandowski’s signing, but it has come with unexpected problems.

The Blaugrana captured the Polish striker from Bayern Munich for €50 million.

The marquee signing has dominated headlines and Barcelona were hoping to capitalise on the craze by profiting from the player’s popularity.

The club were hoping to recoup at least €20 million of that money spent on the transfer through the sale of the Polish striker’s official shirt, BarcaUniversal reported.

The demand for the player’s shirt has skyrocketed since Barca announced he would be joining the team but now the club can’t meet the demand.

The official Barcelona store can’t sell any more of the player’s shirts because they’ve run out of the letter W, Marca reported.

A fan recently went to the store to enquire why he couldn’t purchase a Lewandowski shirt and was told that because Lewandowski had two W’s in it, the store had run out of the letter.

The fan has since posted the video of the hilarious interaction on social media.

Barcelona has officially confirmed the signing of Robert Lewandowski from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich after both clubs agreed to a deal for the 33-year-old forward.

Lewandowski joins the Catalan giants after penning a four-year contract with the Blaugrana after they paid a transfer fee of €45m plus €5m in variables.
